from today - i'm on a self portrait kick but only because the nice weather makes me want to shoot lots of figurative stuff. So..... who wants to let me dress then up and take them some place filthy? :P

i really wish i could sneak into that hospital and take photos. however i've never snuck in anywhere. can you get arrested? i'm assuming anyone who "tresspasses" could but i've seen tons of photos of this place so maybe not? great job.

yes you could definetly get arrested at this place but there are ways to stay out of sight but sometimes you just have to risk it and run if need be. there is a small group of us that photograph hospitals and we all know one another and know the tricks so it makes it easier to help on another

*sigh* I wish we had more abandoned asylums around here but the only 2 we have are majorly locked down.....I would love to get into the basements of Old Main where they did the labotomies....yeah I'm wierd

where are you located, i have books from 1912 that list every asylum in the country :)

alot of asylum are locked up/watched pretty tight, that just makes the planning that more fun

actually i would probably still give the ones we have here a chance if everyone i know weren't such wusses about abandoned buildings...but then i can't even get them to play rugby either

Utica, NY....we have 2 asylums that i know of...one in Marcy(it has the coolest history) which is on the same grounds as a maximum security Correctional Facility and the other is right in the city but they half use the place. Old Main itself supposedly is in use on the 1st floor but the basements and upper floors are locked off(though the rumor is that nothing is actually in there and that they keep it lit up to make people think there is) I have wanted to get into Old Main for years....I don't even entertain the idea of the one in Marcy though...
